Describe how your work runs
Your records, the actions people can take on them and who may take each one are written in a short, readable model. It belongs to you, it's version-controlled, and it can change as your business changes.
Plato is where you define how your operation runs. Every change becomes a signed, permissioned action on one shared record. Agents draft the work, and people with authority approve it.
You shouldn't have to choose between bespoke software, a product built for someone else, or another spreadsheet. With Plato you describe how your work runs, and storage, sync, permissions and review follow from that description.

Nobody edits a cell they shouldn't. Every write is an action the model allows, signed by the person or agent who took it and ordered on the record. The audit trail isn't a separate report you have to maintain, because it's how the system stores everything.
An AI agent works on its own draft of the record. It can make wide changes without touching what everyone else relies on. You review exactly what would change, and it becomes real only when someone with authority accepts it.
The office works on the web, the site uses the phone, and agents connect over chat or MCP. Everyone reads the same record and syncs to it, including offline. There's no second copy to reconcile at month end.
A proposal lists every field it would change, who drafted it and from what. Accept it and it becomes part of the record as one signed change; decline it and it goes back as a draft.
Plato runs one model on a general runtime. We start where many parties have to agree on the same numbers.
Progress claims, variations, retention and schedules of values, all on one record shared by the subcontractor and the head contractor.
One governed record of a program with reporting that reads the record directly instead of reassembling it.
